Today’s Cup of Tea is Sencha Green Tea with Sunny Mother Nature

Feel the wonderful benefits sink in while enjoying a cup of Sencha Green Tea with Sunnymothernature!

Do you love the finer things life has to offer?  That’s what you get with Sencha Green Tea!  Green Tea in general is really good for one’s health (although all teas have health benefits).  As with all teas, there are different qualities.  Compass Teas’s, at www.compassteas.com, Superior Sencha Green Tea is one of the top qualities of Sencha Tea available.

Sencha Green Tea is considered to have a more refined taste.  Also, it is interesting to note that Sencha Green Tea actually brews green, not yellow or yellowish-green like some other green tea varieties.

Green tea in general has antioxidants, minerals and vitamins that are all good for one’s health.  It can possibly help your immune system, prevent diseases, help with mental clarity, etc.  The list can go on and on with what green tea can do.

I find that if I want to focus more, without becoming anxious, or hyper, green tea is amazing.  It relaxes me, but focuses me at the same time.

Today, I decided to brew some Sencha Green Tea because I wanted the awesome health benefits from it~ as well it is said to help clear your skin.  Yet, even if it doesn’t help my skin clear up, I know it is helping my body, mind and spirit in many other ways.

My Sencha Green Tea is from Compass Teas, at http://compassteas.com/oolongclassic-1.aspx (and yes it’s this link even though it says Oolong Classic) for 2 oz. for $9.25.  And, the best part is that this Sencha Green Tea is organic!  Sencha Green Tea can be found at other tea suppliers and wherever tea is sold too.

So, sit down and have a cup of Sencha Green Tea with me.  Mother Nature will love that you are doing a little something to improve your health, which in turn improves Mother Nature’s health!

Have a sunny day!

Sunny Mother Nature Says Use Curtains

Sunny Mother Nature says if you want to help Mother Nature, use curtains instead of blinds!

I love curtains.  I think the idea of pushing back floor length curtains to reveal the sunlight in the morning is just awesome.  Yes, it does bring to mind Victorian times, or medieval times, but I’m ok with that.

My problem with blinds, compared to curtains is this~ blinds are much more difficult to clean, or dust compared to curtains.  All you have to do with curtains is just put them in the washer on delicate/gentle cycle, and then for one minute in the dryer, and hang them back up.

With blinds?  They collect the dust as well as dirt in your home.  If you want them to actually get clean, you have to scrub them~not so easy.

Also, have you ever noticed how much quicker blinds wear out compared to curtains?  Curtains last for years!  Yet, blinds will start to bend and they will stop “opening” so your only option is to just pull them open, or vice versa.  Even the individual blinds will begin to go different directions…I mean the list could go on forever!

Not only that, but the fabric of curtains, even if you’re done using them as curtains, could be used for something else.  With blinds?  They just go straight to the landfill~there’s no real way to really reuse them.

But overall, I think blinds just do not look as beautiful as if there are curtains on the windows.  Curtains bring an atmosphere with them to a room that blinds just lack.

So, use curtains, not blinds!  Mother Nature will love you for it, and your windows will add to the design of your room, not take away.

Go out, live greener, live sunnier, and have a sunny day!

Sunny Mother Nature Says Don’t Watch the News-Read It

Sunny Mother Nature says avoid watching the news.  Read the news instead!

Watching the news has changed drastically since it first began in the 1940s.  Today’s news is basically 59 minutes of everything that is going bad in the world mixed in with ads telling you to buy, buy, buy!  Then, for that last 1 minute they will tell you a warm fuzzy story about a kid saving the dolphins, or something.

So, what does all that negative, bad news and all those ads do to you?  They raise your blood pressure levels and your stress levels.  And the kicker-most of the time you won’t even realize it.

What do you do?  Well, although it would be nice to live in a happy, anti-negative and anti-depressing bubble that is free of anything bad in the world-that is just not the case.

So, read the news instead of watching it!  Read that newspaper from the library, or go online to read your news.  The results?  You will only read the news you actually want to know about, and because you are not actually watching live images of the bad news, you will be able to stay calmer.

After all, how much of that bad news can you personally, help to become less negative?  Very little of it.  So, by reading it, you will not be taking on the pressures, burdens and worries of the world as much as if you were watching it on TV.  Mother Nature understands that no one else can take the burdens that she deals with.  She wants you to have a fulfilling and happy life, and that does not involve becoming stressed and upset over things that you cannot change.

Sunny Mother Nature Loves Josie Maran Cosmetics Whipped Argan Oil Body Butters

Sunny Mother Nature loves Josie Maran’s new Whipped Argan Oil Body Butters in Sweet Citrus and in Vanilla & Apricot!

I have, since I was at least 11 years old, always had trouble with my hands cracking and bleeding in the winter.  My mom, my sister and I have all searched for lotions, body butters, etc. to try to help my hands.  Every now and then I would find something that worked to help keep my hands from bleeding, but I would still have trouble with them cracking.  In this journey, I have tried so many different lotions, body butters and shea butters that I lost count years ago.

But then I wanted to go more natural too.  So, the search was even more difficult.  Until I found Josie Maran Cosmetics.

The new Josie Maran Cosmetics’ Whipped Argan Oil Body Butters in Sweet Citrus and Vanilla & Apricot are amazing!  I have been using these for a little over a month.  Every time that I rub these into my hands, my hands instantly begin to feel at a normal moisture level, instead of dry and preparing to crack.

They are also not oily.  I just place a little on my hands throughout the day, rub it in, and my hands feel wonderful for hours, without greasiness.

And the scents are divine.  I love them both.   They are not like normal “fruity scents” either.  They smell like actual citrus fruits and an actual apricot!  It’s simply amazing.

My hands have NEVER looked this good during the winter (since maybe I was a little kid) as they do now.  My hands look like how they do during the summer!  No cracking or bleeding- and no sign that they will either!!

These are truly miracle producing products for my hands.  I’ve never said any other product, not just for my hands but any product, was a miracle product either.  But, no other product has given me these kind of drastic results either.  Ever.

On Josie Maran Cosmetics’ website, www.josiemarancosmetics.com, it states “This velvety, lightweight and hydrating body butter is whipped to perfection, so you can spread the love with Josie Maran’s signature ingredient, Argan Oil. This precious, rare oil is spun into a unique creamy butter to easily revitalize skin and restore softness while improving skin’s texture. Powerful anti-oxidants enrich and nourish your skin as you indulge your senses with your choice of two subtle all-natural aromas, invigorating sweet citrus and soothing vanilla apricot. 8 fl oz./240 mL.”  The body butters are $35 each.

Another thing that I love is that the ingredients are all good for you.  Many of the ingredients are organic and most of the rest are plant derived.  Even better is what they leave out- there are no petrochemicals (like mineral oil or petrolatum), no parabens and no artifical colors in these body butters!

Also, there is no ingredient listing of “fragrance,” or “parfum”-so, you truly know what all the ingredients in these wonderful body butters are!  They even placed the ingredients on their website-so you know what the ingredients are before you buy.

The ingredients for Vanilla & Apricot are-

Aloe Barbadensis (ORGANIC Aloe Vera) Leaf Juice, Sclerotium Gum, Argania Spinosa Kernal (ORGANIC Argan) Oil, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride (Plant Derived), Helianthus Annuus (ORGANIC Sunflower) Seed Oil, Natural Vegetable Glycerin, Coco-Caprylate/Caprate, Glyceryl Stearate (Plant Derived), Butyrospermum Parkii (ORGANIC Shea Butter), Polysorbate-60 (Plant Derived), Vanilla Planifolia (Vanilla Bean) Fruit Extract, Persea Gratissima (ORGANIC Avocado) Oil, Beta Carotene, Ethylhexylglycerin (Plant Derived Preservative), Tocopherol (Antioxidant), Prunus Armeniaca (Apricot) Fruit Extract, Aniba Rosaeodora (Rosewood) Wood Oil, Citrus Aurantifolia (Lime) Fruit Extract, Citrus Aurantium Dulcis (Orange) Fruite Extract, Citrus Grandis (Grapefruit) Fruit Extract, Cocos Nucifera (Coconut) Oil, Symphytum Officinale (Comfrey) Leaf Extract, Matcha Tea Extract, Camellia Sinensis (White Tea) Leaf Extract, Allantoin, Panthenol (Pro-Vitamin B5), Helianthus Annuus (Sunflower) Seed Extract

The ingredients for Sweet Citrus are-

Aloe Barbadensis (ORGANIC Aloe Vera) Leaf Juice, Sclerotium Gum, Argania Spinosa Kernal (ORGANIC Argan) Oil, Helianthus Annuus (ORGANIC Sunflower) Seed Oil, Natural Vegetable Glycerin, Coco-Caprylate/Caprate, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride (Plant Derived), Glyceryl Stearate (Plant Derived), Butyrospermum Parkii (ORGANIC Shea Butter), Polysorbate-60 (Plant Derived), Persea Gratissima (ORGANIC Avocado) Oil, Beta Carotene, Ethylhexylglycerin (Plant Derived Preservative), Tocopherol (Antioxidant), Citrus Aurantifolia (Lime) Fruit Extract, Citrus Aurantium Dulcis (Orange) Fruite Extract, Citrus Grandis (Pink Grapefruit) Fruit Extract, Symphytum Officinale (Comfrey) Leaf Extract, Matcha Tea Extract, Camellia Sinensis (White Tea) Leaf Extract, Allantoin, Panthenol (Pro-Vitamin B5), Helianthus Annuus (Sunflower) Seed Extract

The little symbols they use for these body butters are (to show what they do and don’t have in them):

Argan Oil Fragrance Free Made with Love! Natural No Animal Testing Organic Paraben Free Petrochemical Free Recyclable Recycled Toxin Free Vegan

Will I be buying these again?  YES!!  I will continue buying Josie Maran’s Whipped Argan Oil Body Butters as long as they are made because of how natural they are as well as the results I have had with my hands.

So, give either one a try-I personally love both of the scents (although my Sweet Citrus is going down quicker than my Vanilla & Apricot).  And these are body butters, so try them all over your body.  I just need the extra moisture specifically on my hands.  Hopefully if you try these, they will work as good for you as they have been working for me.

Mother Nature won’t mind you trying them either-after all, they’re way more natural and good for you, and for her, than a majority of body butters and lotions on the market.

If you want to learn more about Josie Maran Cosmetics, or their Mother Nature friendly philosophy behind the brand, please visit www.josiemarancosmetics.com.

Please Note-I am not affiliated with Josie Maran Cosmetics, nor did they give me these products to try, or compensate me for my review.  I received these body butters as early Christmas presents from my mother, in hopes that they would help my hands.

Sunny Mother Nature Says Bribing Yourself is Okay Every Now and Then

Sunny Mother Nature says if you have to bribe yourself sometimes, it’s ok!

There are just times when you really don’t want to do something.  Whether it is doing the taxes, writing out that bill that really needs to be paid, writing that paper that has instructions that you need a lawyer to decipher, or reading that book that you would rather give away than ever even think about reading~ we’ve all been there.

So, I am here to say~ for things that you really need an incentive to get done, don’t feel guilty for bribing yourself every now and then to finish them!

It is okay!

Buy that one purse you’ve wanted for ages but couldn’t justify!  Or that organic shirt you’ve been dreaming about.  Or anything else that will bribe you enough to get whatever you need to get done, done.

But here are the rules that you need to follow for this to really work as an incentive (and not turn into a time when you’re just buying something).

1) Don’t buy what you’re bribing yourself with, until AFTER you’ve accomplished what your goal was.

2) Don’t feel like your reward has to be very big.  After all, going into debt for a bribe is not the goal.  Last year, I bought a pair of stockings on clearance, on a site’s one free shipping day (to get me through this depressing book I had to read for a class).  My bribe cost less than $10!

3) Make sure you give yourself a specific deadline to finish whatever you need to finish, to earn your bribe, or you will not allow yourself to buy that bribe.

4) Make sure that your deadline is a realistic one for whatever job you’re trying to accomplish.

Bribing yourself also can work this way.  If doing some specific thing always makes you upset, try bribing yourself to stay calm.  Then, if you stayed calm the entire time you were working on what you needed to get done, bribe yourself with a little reward.

Mother Nature understands that there are just some things that a little incentive is needed to get done.  Just please, for Mother Nature’s sake, try to bribe yourself with something good for her-like an organic dress, or recycled totes.  Mother Nature then will feel a little bit sunnier along with you, as you enjoy your little reward.

Today’s Cup of Tea is Yerba Mate with Sunny Mother Nature

Sit down, relax, and have a cup of Green Yerba Mate tea with Sunny Mother Nature!

This tea is a tea for so many things!  The main reasons I drink it though is that it is supposed to help reduce pain, help with headaches, and it is like caffeine, but you don’t have the crash like with caffeine.

Yerba Mate is normally found in two forms-green and roasted.  If I am going to drink just Yerba Mate without any other type of tea blended with it, I go more for the Green Yerba Mate.

If you like green tea, then Green Yerba Mate may be another tea to add to your cabinet.  It may take a cup or two to get acquired to the taste.  However, I have been amazed at how many people I know who I’ve gotten to try it, and they really like it from the first sip! I get my Green Yerba Mate from Compass Teas, at  http://compassteas.com/yerbamate-traditionalgreen.aspx for 3 oz. for $6.99.  It can be found at other tea suppliers too though.

So, if you need a little bit more energy, or help relieving some pain, have a cup of Green Yerba Mate tea with me.  It’ll help you make it through the day.

NUDE Skincare Cleansing Facial Oil

Sunny Mother Nature likes using NUDE Skincare’s Cleansing Facial Oil.

Cleansing Facial Oil

For the past 6 months I have been trying to get away from using foaming facial cleansers, especially ones made for oily skin.  I have thought for years that I have an oily skin type.  Yet, what do I find out when I switched to non-foaming cleansers-this is not the case!  I actually have combination to normal skin.  Imagine that!  (By using cleansers for oily skin, my skin would get really dry because the cleansers were trying to get rid of the excess oil.  Yet, this then made my face even more oily because my face was trying to make up for the oil lost to the cleanser.  When I stopped stripping my face of the oil, that’s when my face started to stop producing as much oil as it used to and my face then went to combination/normal skin)

However, for me, switching to just non-foaming cleansers wasn’t enough.  I wanted to start using a natural non-foaming cleanser (or at least one with very little foaming).

I was looking on Sephora (www.sephora.com) to see if they had any under their Natural Seal that appealed to me.  NUDE Skincare’s Cleansing Facial Oil was the one that popped out at me.

It states on the back of the bottle that “This remarkable cleanser effectively removes even the most stubborn make-up.  The beautiful non-irritating natural oil protects and leaves skin smooth, supple and perfectly soft.  Warm between hands and massage onto dry face.  Apply warm water to form a light milk and rinse clean.  For normal to dry skin.”  (Although, on the box it says “For all skin types.”)  It is $36 for 3.4 oz from either www.sephora.com, or www.nudeskincare.com.

Also, this product does not have parabens, sulphates, PEGs, TEA, DEA, propylene glycol, phthalates, GMO, mineral oil, or silicones.  So, NUDE Skincare is being nice to you and Mother Nature.  These ingredients are not being absorbed by your skin and they are not going down the pipes into our water supplies, or into our environment.

It’s ingredients are glycine soja (soybean) oil, polyglyceryl-4-oleate (vegetable oil), squalene (olive oil), tocopherol acetate (plant sources), natural fragrance (parfum), benzyl benzoate (essential oil), linalool (essential oil), eugenol (essential oil).

I did not notice until now that it does have “fragrance” as an ingredient.  So, here’s to hoping it does have only nice ingredients as part of “fragrance”.

On the NUDE Skincare site (www.nudeskincare.com), it even states “Now with an even smaller carbon footprint, this beautiful Cleansing Facial Oil is one of the most responsibly packaged beauty products on the market – with an entirely recyclable plastic bottle using 100% Post Consumer Regrind (PCR).”

So even it’s packaging is nicer to Mother Nature!

NUDE Skincare’s line is mostly made up of anti-aging products.  If you are interested, look at one of the websites for more information on those.  However, I like that this cleanser can be used by people who do not want anti-aging facial products  (it is not advertised as one of their anti-aging products).

I’ve been using this for a couple of months now and I do really like it.   However, at first I did add some water to my face and continue massaging it in a little more after first massaging it onto dry skin, but this ended up drying out my face.  So, I do not recommend doing that.

What I have found to work for me is to massage this on dry skin and then add water to my hands and just rinse it off.  This way, my skin does stay at a nice moisture level.  This cleanser did get rid of all my make-up too without being really harsh on my face.

Will I be buying this again?  Definitely. (although there is another cleansing oil that has grabbed my attention that I want to try too…)

So, if you want to be nicer to your skin and to Mother Nature, try NUDE Skincare’s Cleansing Facial Oil.  With Sephora, if you buy something and do not like it, you can return it for free.  However, there are also many other cleansing oils out there to try.  Just please, for your health and Mother Nature’s, always look to see if the cleanser is good for you and Mother Nature. Either way, Mother Nature will always appreciate any love you show towards her.

Please Note-I am not affiliated with NUDE Skincare, or with Sephora, and neither company gave me this product to try.  I bought this product myself from www.sephora.com.  It appears that Sephora will constantly have their “free returns” policy.  However, this could change sometime in the future after I have written this post.  Also, even though this product works for me, that does not mean that this product will definitely work for you.
