A Peek into My Cabinet…

Ok, so all of these products are not actually in a “cabinet,” but this gives you a glimpse of what I used to use, where I have worked to find natural, organic, and nontoxic products, and what I use now!

I will be constantly updating this page, so you will be able to see at any given time what I am currently using.

How Each Product in Each Category is Listed:

Then: What I used to use

Now: What I use now

(and if I do not love what I use now)

Want to Try: Products I hope to try in the future

I also sometimes have a Currently Using, rather than Now, and this signifies that I am using this product up, but do not recommend it.

If I have a Want to Try: N/A, it means that I am still searching for a product I want to try in this category.  Also, in some categories I have Other Alternatives Available.  This gives you some more options in that category.  However, none of the other alternatives I list are ones that I have personally used.

So here’s my list Categories listed include: Face Care, Lip Care, Personal Care Products, Body Care, Hair Care, Dental Care, Cosmetics, Menstrual Care, Laundry Products, Food and Drink Containers, Outdoors Protection (aka Sun Protection and Bug Repellent) and Baby Care!

Remember though~ switching over to natural, organic, and nontoxic products does NOT have to occur within one day, one week, or even one month!  As you use up products you already have, just switch them over to natural and organic products.  This way, you do not feel overwhelmed!  I have been switching over products for about a year now.  🙂

The one group of products that I do recommend switching over as quickly as possible though are any products used on, or for, babies and young children because they absorb more of the chemicals per pound compared to adults, and breathe in more toxins per breath than adults too.

Also, for your health and any kid’s health, please limit exposure/ use of all plastics, not just plastics with BPA.

Now: Badger SPF 30+ Unscented Sunscreen and Badger SPF 16 Aloe Vera Sunscreen Lotion (These are physical sunscreens~not chemical sunscreens.  Therefore, you use only a fraction of this sunscreen compared to what you use of chemical sunscreen for the same protection.  Also, no physical sunscreen can ever be 100% organic because physical sunscreen relies on minerals like zinc oxide for protection, which cannot be certified organic.  Badger uses non-nano uncoated zinc oxide for their active ingredient, so you know it is a safer alternative.  This Badger sunscreen, although stated to be unscented, if you do have a heightened sense of smell like me, does have a very slight cocoa scent to it.  It smells awesome, and is not overwhelming in any way.  Also, physical sunscreens in general do have a little bit of a different texture to them than chemical sunscreens.  However, they are significantly safer to use than chemical sunscreens, so I highly recommend only using physical sunscreens.)

Bug Repellent

Then: OFF! Clip-On Fan Mosquito Repellent

Now: Sage Stone Botanicals Citronella Bug Repellent Spray, and Intelligent Nutrients Aromatic Bug Repellent Certified Organic Perfume Spray

So there you have it~ all of the personal care products and other home products I currently use right now!

Did I miss any major category(s) that you would like me to add?  Did this list help make your switch in any category to natural and organic products easier?  Let me know in the comments!

Have a sunny day!

Please note that all of the products mentioned that I am currently using, I bought myself or were presents from family members and friends.  I did receive free the Sage Stone Botanicals Citronella Bug Repellent Spray, and the Badger Aloe Vera Sunscreen Lotion.

I also want to note that I have not noted all of the products that I used to previously use.  Instead, I’ve listed only the ones that I used the most and/or the most recent ones.  Otherwise, this list would be even longer 🙂
